Hey, also found that i needed to customise xchat a bit for netbooks. but a small reccomendation, instead of using tabs which take up far too much precious vertical space and make you start to scroll tabs anyway (which sucks so much in gtk =\). set to use the tree view, but set it to the right (upper or lower) side, it will then share the same space as the nick list. essentially presenting the same amount of information but without using up more space.

I absolutely dislike gnome-xchat, that's why I modified Xchat, and not the Gnome one.
